Peter was formerly Senior Assistant Secretary (Curriculum) at the WJEC, where for many years he guided many successive curriculum development initiatives, including, for example, much TVEI work in the then eight authorities in Wales, and the successful Geography for the Young School Leaver Project. Peter was the WJEC's leading authority on the assessment of the Key Skills Qualification and its management.

Peter joined the Welsh Bac project as Deputy Director in 2001 and continues to work on the project in a consultancy role.
