Job Title Welsh Bac Development Consultant

Richard joined the WJEC in 1985 as Welsh History Resources officer, responsible for co-ordinating resources development among ten different agencies and institutions. Subsequently, he was appointed as a subject officer within the Examinations Department, assuming responsibility for History and Humanities. Richard was then appointed as Assistant Secretary (AS/A level), a position held for ten years. During that time, he was responsible for overseeing the implementation of the changes at AS and A level brought about the Dearing Review, and more recently Curriculum 2000. Richard is fluent in Welsh and English.

Richard joined the Welsh Bac team in 2001 and continues to work on the project in a consultancy role.
